Six Owen J. Roberts student-athletes recently announced their college decisions during a signing ceremony at the school with family, friends and coaches. Making their athletic college commitments were: Julian Funaro (soccer, Vassar College), Aiden Kollar (soccer, Immaculata University), Abby Mattis (volleyball, Penn State-Berks), Emily Sands (soccer, Kutztown University), Erin Stubbs (gymnastics, Ursinus College) and Samantha Walsh (softball, Manhattanville College).
Julian Funaro, Soccer, Vassar College

Owen J. Roberts soccer play Julian Funaro recently made a verbal commitment to Vassar College, where he will study mathematics. Funaro, a first team Mercury All-Area and All-PAC selection, was also a member of National Honor Society, Math Honor Society and Spanish Honor society. Aiden Kollar, Soccer, Immaculata University

Owen J. Roberts soccer player Aiden Kollar recently made a verbal commitment to Immaculata University, where he will major in secondary education/ special education. Abby Mattis, Volleyball, Penn State-Berks

Emily Sands, Soccer, Kutztown Univ.

Owen J. Roberts soccer player Emily Sands recently signed a National Letter of Intent to Kutztown University, where she will major in secondary education and actuarial science. Sands, a first team All-PAC and All-PAC Academic selection, was a four-year starter and two-year captain for the Wildcats. She was also the secretary of Leo Club and president of Spanish Club. Erin Stubbs, Gymnastics, Ursinus College

Owen J. Roberts gymnast Erin Stubbs recently made a verbal commitment to Ursinus College, where she will major in biochemistry and molecular biology. During her club career at Aerials Fit ‘n’ Fun Gymnastics, Stubbs was a Level 9 state champion, third place finisher at regionals and national qualifier (Easterns). Samantha Walsh, Softball, Manhattanville College

Owen J. Roberts softball player Samantha Walsh recently made a verbal commitment to Manhattanville College, where she will major in sports medicine. Walsh, a pitcher and middle infielder for the Wildcats, is a also a member of Leo Club.
