Girls volleyball
Boyertown 3, West Chester Rustin 1 >> The Bears won a four-setter by scores of 25-23, 18-25, 25-20 and 25-23 to stay alive in the District 1-4A playback bracket. Boyertown advances to Thursday’s fifth place game against Council Rock North with the winner advancing to the PIAA Tournament.
The Bears got big nights from Emma Ludwig (20 digs, 22 assists and 15 kills), Emily Wolfe (13 kills, 11 digs), Grace Rinehimer (18 assists), Julia Smith (25 digs), Adrianna Derstine (10 kills) and Jess Ahart (four kills, five digs).
Girls Soccer
Perkiomen School 4, New Foundations 0 >> Rianne Moll’s hat trick guided the Panthers to the Penn-Jersey League championship Tuesday at the Proving Grounds.
Cece Vassallo netted Perk’s other goal and added an assist on Moll’s final goal of the game. Marta Bloechle assisted on another one of Moll’s scores.
Abbey Glavin made nine saves for the Panthers, including a penalty stop to record the shutout in goal.
Unionville 1, Spring-Ford 0 >> Unionville’s first-half goal held up against the Rams in a District 1-4A playback contest.
The loss ends Spring-Ford’s season, while Unionville qualifies for the PIAA tournament.
Boys Soccer
Perkiomen School 9, Delaware Valley Friends 1 >> Owen Taylor tallied a hat trick Monday in the Panthers’ Tri-County League semifinal win.
The Panthers will play Barrack Hebrew in the Tri-County League championship Wednesday. Taylor now has 20 goals this season.
Hill School 6, George School 0 >> Jake Barrett and Jason Zhou netted two goals each for Hill in its final regular-season home match Monday.
Baba Kallie and Matt Benik added goals for Hill. Both of Barrett’s goals were assisted by his brother Zach Barrett. Other assists went to Kai Reis, Sam Beckett, Ryan Woolley and Kenneth Palmieri.
Michael Wong made one save in relief of Alan Kim to share the clean sheet.
