Ellie Malek came through two minutes from time for Strath Haven, her 78th-minute goal leading the Panthers to a 1-0 nonleague win over Avon Grove Saturday.
The win improves the Panthers’ record to 9-3-1.

Springfield 2, Cardinal O’Hara 1 >> Ava Hennessey’s goal with seven and a half minutes left spelled the difference between the neighborhood rivals.
Sara Bean opened the scoring for the Cougars from the penalty spot after a handball by O’Hara. But the lead was short-lived thanks to Kellie McCarthy’s back-heel goal to even the score at halftime.
It took a Hennessey breakaway in the final 10 minutes to find a way past Julia Mirarchi, who made 15 saves. Shannon Cutcliff made six saves in goal for Springfield.
Garnet Valley 4, Kennett 0 >> Anna Goldkamp recorded a brace, and Maddie Kalish supplied three assists as the Jags pulled away with three goals after the break.
Carlie Shiller and Elly Shankle also scored for the Jaguars, and Kayleigh Saboja notched the shutout in goal.
Boys Soccer
Keah Tobey set up goals by Robbie Geddes and Adam Louriki as Ridley blanked Cardinal O’Hara, 2-0. TJ McNichol notched the clean sheet in goal with six saves.

Sun Valley 4, Collegium Charter 2 >> Bobbo Chambers scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Vanguards. Nate McGinnis and Brandon Hinderhofer scored, Brendan Purfield dished three assists. Ryan Vaughan made four saves in goal for the Vanguards (5-7-1).
